The financial assets and debts of a marriage are divided in a California divorce as community property. There are a number of forms that you will be filing and there are judgments that are set in place by the courts designating who owns what. You and your spouse will fill out a Schedule of Assets and Debts (Form FL-142) in which each of you declare all assets and debts, including community and separate property. You then will attempt to agree and divide the assets and debts. If you are unable to do so amicable, we will be able to help you resolve your issues at our law office in Ventura.

You and your spouse may need fill out a a Pension Benefits – Attachment to Judgment (Form FL-348). You may need to fill out a Retirement Plan Joinder – Information Sheet (Form FL-318-Info).
